Dear brother Art,

I would like to tell you about your book A Tool for Personal Discipleship, PHASE 1, Understanding The Christian Life. By the leading of Holy Spirit I have been teaching DTI at our campus Chapel every Sunday morning. We have two groups and they have been impacted. This is the first time for this kind of discipleship training program. I will continue teaching every Sunday morning.

When I finished my two months in the discipleship teaching that I received from Pastor Ruboneka Herbo, indeed I felt very delighted to know the Christian life. Immediately my life was changed and I adopted a new way of living.
I was no longer led by my will as I used to be, but I constantly started walking according to the Word of God taught in the Bible and through the leadership of the Holy Spirit. I was very glad to know that I do not belong to this world but heaven is my dwelling place for eternity.

I was not surprised to notice that my neighbors couldn’t understand my new behavior. As we talk, I slowly convince them, using the Word of God. Even my family is very proud to have a servant of God among them, because I now pray for the whole family and I am sure that in the coming days many relatives, friends and comrades will come after me in this new transformed behavior. I hope my God will help me to go ahead in my new birth in Jesus Christ. Amen and God bless you all DTI!

I praise the Lord and DTI for the program of discipleship I have attended for two months with Pastor Ruboneka. During this time I have learned many things which have completely changed my former life. Before I believed in the Lord's Name Jesus Christ but I was thinking there are others gods. But now I know that Jesus in the only God. (1 John 5:20)

Then I've been changed into a new creature under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord does not disappoint, because today people have an understanding of the presence of God in my life. It is a great satisfaction for me as my family is getting better and better and better, and I witness the power of the Holy Spirit in a human being's life. I encourage other people to attend this important program which is helping many people to adopt a new way of living. I also encourage our educators to go on in this activity. Thanks to the DTI Team. Many people I know have had their behavior transformed knowing that one day they will appear at the judgment of the Lord. We are citizens of heaven.

I had the pleasure and blessing to get to know Art and Toni a number of years ago! Our churches would come together and co minister on a week-long Mission's trip to Mexico with our high school kids! During this time Art introduced me to this material. For the past year the Lord has given me the opportunity to share the Spanish version with a Peruvian believer! This led into having a study with some believers from
Guatemala!

Thank you so much for the time and effort you have obviously put in to further the cause of Christ. I say that knowing that you are not alone in the effort so my heartfelt thank you goes to those who serve with you as well.

First, I am a Campus Pastor for an independent Christian church located in Illinois. We are “one church in multiple locations.” I am the Campus Pastor at the smallest of our campuses, but am also responsible for the discipleship ministry overall. I came across your website quite some time ago when it was much different than the present one and not as user friendly. Congratulations on the improvement. It really is a great site.

I feel that we have fallen into the trap, unintentionally, of looking at small groups as discipleship. In our defense, we have always expected the leaders of our small group to find people within their group to develop spiritually but to be honest, we've not been successful at it. As I turned this problem over in my mind I came to the conclusion that when people say, “I don’t know ‘how’ to disciple someone,” I think what they are really saying is, “I don’t know ‘what’ to disciple. The answer to the ‘what’ question is what intrigues me about your material. It goes without saying that you have dealt thoroughly with the ‘how’ in Phase 2 but it is the ‘what’ that I believe answers the most basic question that our people deal with. I have looked on the internet and I can find a lot of material about ‘how’ but little to none, save your ministry, that deals with the what.

As you stated in your manual, small groups are beneficial. We have gotten a lot of traction with them as far as seeing people won to the Lord and imparting biblical concepts and principles. (Unfortunately, at least some of those concepts and principles fall into the category of doing life without the box top, as you point out.)

I am working now, and I’m sure it will take some time, to use your material as a basis for developing disciples.

I must confess that my ministry has taken a new shape because of those wonderful materials you sent to me.

Your lessons are so practical and comprehensive.

I have a small Bible School in South Africa … Till recently I used my own material and material that I received from other sources. I recently discovered your website with your lessons. I would like to use them in my Bible School. At the moment all the materials are English, but I am busy translating material in 5 other South African Languages. Can you please advise me if I may use this wonderful material of yours, … And … if I can translate the material.

I thank you very much for what you are doing for the body of Christ in this part of the world. You will never know how important this manual is to me and to other pastors who are going to benefit from this.

Your website and material are absolutely fantastic. If you don't mind, I downloaded all the courses and am going to incorporate them into my discipleship course that I am running here. I have just planted this church in South India. … the material and graphic representation, creativity and content are just right for my new believers.

I found disciplers.org and my life was largely impacted by your material. … while I was downloading the free material, I believe God spoke to my heart. Here was something that I could do to serve the Lord … to translate … these resources for Portuguese speaking Christians.
